OnePlus 3 Unbelievable Specs || OnePlus 3 Launch In India
Whether it’s been because it gave away 30,000 VR headsets, or because its 3rd flagship has been spotted being certified at China’s TENAA, or even because the specifications of the upcoming OP3 have leaked all over the internet, OnePlus has been in the news a fair amount recently. Today, the cheeky upstart handset maker has finally announced the date that it will launch the OnePlus 3. OnePlus shared the news on the Chinese social media site, Weibo, that it will take the wraps off the OnePlus 3 on June 15th, at an event held in China at 10AM (6PM GMT). Once it begins, you’ll need to put your VR headset on to view the event as it’s meant to be seen. According to the specifications that leaked as it passed through TENAA certification, the OnePlus 3 will sport a Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, 16MP rear camera, NFC, and a 3,000 battery. It’s also believed that the button below the display houses a fingerprint reader. For now, it isn’t known when the OnePlus 3 will begin shipping, nor how much it will cost. Also, will there be variants with more storage? And will it be a flagship killer? Who knows. Now that we know the OnePlus 3 will launch on June 15th, there really isn’t much longer to wait, especially for those lucky few that will be chosen to review the OnePlus 3 earlier than everyone else.

The OnePlus One is an Android smartphone manufactured by OnePlus, a Chinese startup company co-founded by former Oppo vice president Pete Lau. Unveiled in April 2014, it is the first product by OnePlus. The One was designed to compare favorably – in performance, quality, and price – to flagship devices by leading smartphone manufacturers. The One ships to most markets with the Cyanogen OS operating system pre-installed. Cyanogen OS is a commercial variant of CyanogenMod. The phone was first made available for sale on 25 April 2014, exclusively from the OnePlus website, but initially required prospective customers to obtain an invitation before they could purchase it. These invitations were primarily distributed by the company through contests, some of which attracted attention for their unconventional or controversial nature. On 6 June 2014, the device was available for general sale. As of 20 April 2015, the device no longer requires an invite to purchase.

OnePlus 3 Looks Like a…?
We’re just a day away from OnePlus making the OnePlus 3 official, but you know that won’t stop the rumor mill from churning out just a few more photos. The latest leak shows off the device, in the flesh, from the front and back. It’s arguably the clearest look we’ve seen, unless you count the press renders and promotional material. Hit the break to check it out. For better or worse, OnePlus is sticking with their traditional design. The front of the device features a familiar fingerprint scanner, although it’s been cleaned up and looks a little smaller. The back seems to borrow more from HTC than anything, complete with horizontal antenna lines and a camera that looks strikingly similar to the HTC One M8 and M9, with a very heavy emphasis on the M9. Regardless of how it looks, the hardware is what really sells it for OnePlus. We’re expecting some beefy specs tomorrow, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 CPU with either 4 or 6 GB of RAM, a 5.5-inch 1080p display, USB C charging, and hopefully a solid camera to round things off. Android 6.0 with a custom OnePlus skin is pretty likely, too. The other thing we’re still waiting on is pricing, which will probably undercut most other flagship devices in typical OnePlus fashion. $300 to $400 is a safe bet, but maybe we’ll be surprised when the announcement happens.

OnePlus 3 Basic Information
The OnePlus 3 is coming within the next few months, so you know that means we’re going to start seeing more and more information about it leak out. We’ve already seen some benchmarks that suggest certain hardware configurations, but a new rumor seemingly confirms that hardware and also mentions a price point for the upcoming flagship. If this rumor pans out, expect to see the OnePlus 3 launch with 32 GB of internal storage and 4 GB of RAM as its standard configuration. That seems to line up with one of the leaked benchmarks, and also confirms the idea that we’ll have an entry level model and a higher end model. I feel like 32 GB of storage (plus a likely microSD card slot) with 4 GB of RAM would be enough for 99% of people, but hey, more options don’t hurt. That “entry level” model will also probably cost around $310. That matches up pretty closely with the OnePlus 2’s $329 launch price point, so it’s credible, but it doesn’t tell us what the higher end model with 6 GB of RAM will cost. We’re also expecting a Snapdragon 820 on board, but display size and resolution is still up in the air until a more definite rumor shows up. The rumor also suggests that OnePlus will announce the phone on May 18th with a June release date. We’ve heard the June release date before, so that’s looking very likely, and a May announcement means we won’t have to wait much longer before OnePlus strips away the mystery.
